Creating a New Document in Photoshop

To create a new document in photoshop follow these steps;

  1. Open photoshop.
  2. Click “File” in menu option, and than select “New”.
  3. You see get a windows like this.


    Give a name to your new document, and size of your new image document. Next thing you need to set is resolution and background of your new photoshop document. You can select colored or white or transparent like a pane of glass as background.
    Now set Resolution. resolution tell how much information is contained in your image, how clear it is, how big the file is, what it looks like in the format you want to output it in. Don’t get confused. For a beginner, just use 72. Recomended setting is:
    Web Resolution = 72dpi
    Print resolution = 150 or 300dpi
    Film Resolution = 600dpi
  4. Now you have created a new photoshop document.

      when i do this why the new document shows squares all over the document? please advice is anything wrong that i m doing? the document shows squares all over the place.
