How to make Stitch type border in Photoshop

Today I will show you how to add a Stitch type border in a photo using Adobe Photoshop. Such borders are often used when designing a jeans or a jacket type design. Its easy, but please follow steps carefully. We will be making use of brush tool with some setting.

Difficulty: Easy
Completion time: 5-15 minutes.
Tools: Adobe Photoshop

Final Look

Below is final look after we apply stitch border in a photo.

Step 1:

Open any image in which you want to add stitch border. I am using below image.

Step 2:

Select brush tool.

Download this brush and load this brush.

Select the downloaded brush and press F5 on keyboard to enter brush settings. Apply following setting to brush.


Step 3:

Create a new layer. Now select “Rectangle Marque Tool”

And make a rectangle selection as shown below.


Right click and select “Make Work path” and make selection as path.

Step 4:

Set foreground color to black and select Pen tool.

Right click again and select “Stroke Path”


and stroke the path with Brush.

Right click again and select “Delete path”.

We have applied Stitch type border on this photo.
